Get Involved

File_009.jpeg

We need to help each other carry the waterOur ancestors and parents teach us that solving problems requires us to stand up, acknowledge problems that need solutions, and work together to make things better. Here’s what you can do to help:

Enroll!

  • If you are not yet enrolled or were denied membership, contact ONC to get things straightened out.

  • Find out your status as an ONC citizen.

Be Informed!

  • Ask questions. Offer feedback. Suggest improvements and solutions

  • Call, COVID-safely visit, or email ONC to be heard whatever your viewpoint or situation.

  • Offer thanks for good programs and services too!

Make Your Voice Heard!

  • We need more steady and strong voices to inform well-conceived, equitable, forward-thinking, and relevant programs and services for members.

  • Contact ONC Council members and ONC staff to learn more about much needed help. They are there for each and all of us.

  • Call in our Council to reaffirm their individual and our collective commitment to act on behalf of all tribal members and our descendants in each and every elective capacity, including Council authorized and delegated work of ONC elected representatives on AVCP, YKHC, ANTHC, and other allied tribal boards within our homeland, Alaska, US, and world.

Annual Membership Meeting

  • Register and attend the Apr 24 annual ZOOM meeting to convene together and share ideas online.

  • Vote! Spread the word!

Take Care of Each Other

  • Check on elders, children, neighbors.

  • Make sure everyone is okay.

  • Feel free to ask for needed help.

  • Keep moving forward! Keep going.
